Tue, 21 November 2006 First off - all due respect to Ryan Howard for winning the 2006 MVP. Congrats to him. I mean him no disrespect in this podcast. I apologize in advance for my rant about Albert getting ripped off for MVP. I give several reasons why I think he was overlooked and after the AL MVP was announced I have no idea what the voters were thinking(if they were...) I better stop here. Once again congrats to Ryan Howard...Comments[1] |
Fri, 10 November 2006 The free agent hunt has begun for 2007. The Cards have resigned Jimmy Baseball Edmonds for 2 more years which I think is a good deal. The need of another outfielder will help but not as needed if we did not sign Edmonds. I also talk about free agent pitchers and 2nd basemen. I will continue to chat about possible free agents and also break down more about the world championship over the next couple of months. Guess what - we are still Worl Champs !!!Comments[0] |
Sat, 28 October 2006 World Champs sounds so cool and sexy and that is what we are for 2006 Cardinal Nation. WE DID IT !!! No One gave a chance to win even 1 game in the playoffs. Well, we won 11 and won the World Series in 5 games. The team was enigmatic but they truly played as a team on a mission in the post season. Now we are World Champs!!! Download, have a listen and share this podcast with others. Also, go Celebrate. We are World Champs !Comments[1] |
Fri, 20 October 2006 WE DID IT !!! We are going to the World Series for the 17th time !!! We won the LCS 4 to 3. The Mets put up a good fight but we won and Cardinal Nation rolls on to Detroit. Adam Wainright struck out the Cards arch nemesis Carlos Beltran with the bases loaded for the final out of the game. Once the Mets Pedro went down I knew that the Cards had a chance. We are down to one week. Go CARDS !!!Comments[0] |
Sat, 14 October 2006 The Cards improbable continuing victories in the postseason is surprising the "experts." The LCS is a dogfight and the Cards are not going to go easy. They will have to earn each victory. This team is not the most talented but they are not quitters. Tony LaRussa is doing a great job of making a lot of right moves. No one thinks they will win. So they have nothing to lose. It is a great place to be... By this time next week we will be World Series Bound...Comments[0] |
Fri, 6 October 2006 WOW! The Cards refuse to die and have won the first 2 games of the Division Series agains the Padres. Everyone had written the Cards off so the pressure is off and they are winning. It is so Cool that they are clicking at the right time. Starting pitching, the bullpen, hitting and defense are all playing well at the same time. It is a shocker to me too... I will stop now so I won't jinx the Cards. I will be back next week to update all on the status of our journey towards the promised land...Comments[0] |
